Founder & Lead IELTS Instructor
Ravi Patel is the founder of IELTS Rewind, an online platform dedicated to helping students prepare more effectively for the IELTS exam through practical study resources and modern learning tools. The platform was created with the idea that IELTS preparation should be clear, accessible, and focused on real exam needs rather than overwhelming learners with unnecessary complexity.
Through IELTS Rewind, the focus is on developing structured learning materials such as IELTS Speaking cue cards, Writing Task 1 and Task 2 practice content, model answers, and preparation guides that reflect real exam formats and commonly asked topics. These resources are designed to help learners understand how the test is evaluated while improving essential skills like writing organization, vocabulary usage, grammar accuracy, and speaking fluency.
A strong interest in education technology has also influenced the development of AI-assisted tools that support IELTS practice. These tools aim to give learners more interactive ways to practice writing and speaking, receive helpful feedback, and gradually build confidence before taking the exam. By combining technology with practical exam strategies, the platform aims to create a learning environment that is both efficient and engaging.

Our Story
IELTS Rewind began in 2023 when Ravi noticed a persistent gap in accessible, high-quality IELTS preparation. Many students — especially those in developing countries — lacked access to expert feedback on their writing and speaking performance. Private tutoring was expensive, and generic study guides could not address individual weaknesses.
Determined to bridge this gap, Ravi partnered with AI engineers to build a platform that delivers personalised, examiner-level feedback at scale. Every AI prompt and scoring rubric on IELTS Rewind was hand-crafted by Ravi to mirror official IELTS band descriptors, ensuring students receive the same rigor they would from a certified examiner — free of charge.
Our AI Methodology
Transparency matters. Our AI writing and speaking tools use large language models fine-tuned with IELTS-specific evaluation guidelines. Each essay, report, or letter submitted to our checkers is assessed across the four official IELTS criteria: Task Achievement (or Task Response), Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy.
AI-generated feedback is not infallible. We clearly label all scores and suggestions as AI-generated estimates, not official IELTS results. Our models are regularly reviewed and updated by Ravi and our instructor team to minimise inaccuracies. We encourage students to use our tools as a supplement to — not a replacement for — professional instruction.
